Eslami: The Agency must maintain its neutrality
Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said after a cabinet meeting, in response to the new statements of Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, that the agency must maintain its neutrality and behave professionally.
Eslami said that the UN's six-monthly review of Resolution 2231 is now due and that it consists of two parts: accepting Iran's restrictions for the purpose of fostering confidence in return for the lifting of sanctions and the fulfillment of the other party's obligations.
The Vice President added: It is unacceptable for an international body to only address one aspect of the incident, and that too in a provocative manner, and not to mention the main aspect, which is the failure of the parties to fulfill their obligations.
The head of the Atomic Energy Organization stated in another section: We anticipate that the Agency's Director General, a seasoned diplomat, will adhere to these issues.
