New tragedy for migrants on Greek shores
Maritime migrant tragedies are occurring one after another in Greek waters, claiming lives.

Five people were killed and forty were reported missing when a migrant boat capsized 12.5 miles southwest of the Greek island of Gavdos. There have reportedly been 39 rescues.
Greek rescue operations are continuing off the southern coast of the Greek island of Crete. An Italian frigate, four Coast Guard vessels, a Navy helicopter, and an Air Force helicopter have all been sent to the region.
There were reportedly over 80 passengers on board.
Reports state that 39 rescued individuals were transported to the Greek town of Paleochora, which is located in the Crete region.
According to reports, one migrant was admitted to intensive care after being brought to the hospital with drowning symptoms.
